Welcome to Family of Christ Lutheran Church
A member of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod
God's Word is the life of our worship! We need to hear His Word and proclaim it truthfully. Therefore, we acknowledge the Bible to be the true, inerrant Word of God, and the guide for our lives, both during worship and every other moment. Apart from God's Word we know that we are driven to live by the flesh instead of the Spirit, and this is not an excuse to do or say what we want. However, it is a known Biblical fact that when we wander away from the Word of God, then we do not put on the full armor, which prevents us from being able to stand in the presence of temptation. Yet, when we fall short, we know that we can return to Christ, seek His forgiveness, and celebrate our new life in Him, because of His suffering, death, and resurrection.
Christ died for us, and because He set us free from sin, death, and the power of the devil, we strive to live our lives in accordance to God's Word. As Christians, we need to be in God's Word daily to find the strength and encouragement to live our lives by a certain way of "being in the world, but not of the world." Again, this is not an arrogant statement. It is simply a calling for us to live out the Word of God in everything that we say and do. The life we are called to live, is a life of LOVE! The Bible tells us that "we love because He first loved us." Because of Christ's unconditional love and sacrifice, we are able to love our neighbor. Therefore, our vision is to love our neighbor as ourselves.
To love as God loves us is our ultimate goal. We accomplish this through worship, fellowship, and then living out our faith everywhere that we go. We would love to have you join us at Family of Christ. If you have any questions, then feel free to call the church office at 715-549-6140.
