Our Response to COVID-19

During this time we at Family of Christ feel that the request of our Government to limit gatherings to 10 or less, is not a breach of our constitutional rights or freedom to hold service.  Nor do we feel that it falls under Acts 5:29, which states, "We must obey God rather than man."  Instead, we feel the request is guided by our responsibility as good citizens under Paul's writing in Romans 13, "Submit to Governing authorities."  We also believe it is a call to love our neighbor, and think of others before ourselves.  Therefore, we have chosen to cancel in person services, classes, and events, and post our Worship Services and Bible Classes to our website.

This call to love our neighbor has not stopped our ability to proclaim the Word of God.  Instead it challenged us to look into different ways to proclaim His truth.  Even though we are still learning in this process, we have loaded Services and Bible Classes to our website.  Our Worship Services can be found by clicking on the Weekly Worship heading on this page.  Our Bible Studies can be found by clicking on the Upcoming Events heading.

As this situation continues to unfold, we are calling on all Christians to pray, provide care where you are able, and put your trust in God.  We also encourage our members, and everyone to remain connected with God through self study of His Word, family devotions, prayer, and daily confession of your sins.

God continue to bless and keep you during this time.

Jesus said, "for where two or three are gathered in My name, there am I with them."  Worship is our time to come together in the presence of God to receive His grace and mercy, to hear His Word, and receive His Sacraments for us and for our salvation.  Come join us.
